EDDIE Pepperell endured a disappointing final day of the Dubai World Championships.
The Abingdon golfer produced a superb display yesterday, firing a six-under-par 66 to shoot up the leaderboard.
But Pepperell was unable to repeat the feat today, his 75 seeing him finish the season-ending event down in 48th place with a four-round, two-under total of 142.
He did though still pick up €33,974 (just over £30,000).
The Frilford Heath member recorded four birdies and an eagle in a faultless display on Saturday.
But despite a birdie at the first today, his fate was sealed by four dropped shots in five holes, from which he was unable to recover.
Jon Rahm won the tournament on 19 under.
