DROPPED shots on each of the final two holes saw Eddie Pepperell slip down the field at the Nedbank Challenge at Sun City in South Africa today.

The Abingdon golfer carded a second successive two-over-par round of 74, which leaves him in a tie for 43rd.

On a day of few low scores, Pepperell made a super start with a birdie at his first hole – the tenth – but then dropped a shot at his third.

And fluctuating fortunes were to prove the story of his round with four birdies and six bogeys – the most costly of the latter, however, coming on the final two holes.
