EDDIE Pepperell’s brilliant run of form came to an end when he missed the halfway cut in the British Masters at Close House, Newcastle.
The Abingdon golfer, who recorded top-five finishes in each of his previous three tournaments, shot a four-over-par 74 in the second round to miss out by five shots.
After a one-under par first round of 69, the Frilford Heath professional was well in the hunt.
But three dropped shots in the first six holes of his second round meant he faced an uphill struggle to make the weekend.
He finished outside the top 100 on 143 – 15 shots behind the leader, Tyrrell Hatton, from Marlow.
