Oxfordshire's Sadie Mansell, 15, who attends the Wood Green School in Witney, received her Welsh Under 16 cap from Liverpool legend Ian Rush.
Mansell has represented Wales at under 16 and 17 level, playing in the European Championships in Macedonia last year against England, Belarus and Macedonia.
Mansell, who plays for Reading Ladies, picked up her cap at the Park Hotel in Cardiff.
Her next tournament with the Wales team is in September when the under 17s travel to Russia for three European Cup qualification games.
