Blackbird reached their first cup final in their debut season with a convincing 6-1 victory over Barton United in their Critchleys UTV League’s Hedley Toms/Michael Brown Trophy semi-final, writes Matthew Hardy.

Carl Bloomfield put the home side ahead with just a minute played, but Jamie McCuaig levelled moments later as he capitalised on a defensive error.

Anaclet Odhiambo then restored Blackbird’s lead and they ran away with it after the break.

Marlon James, Craig Bloom-field and substitute Yasine Lamzini all registered before Odhiambo completed the scoring with his second of the afternoon.
