IFFLEY Harriers continued their perfect start to the season with a comfortable 5-1 victory at AFC Valley, writes MATTHEW HARDY.

Craig Marsh bagged a brace, alongside goals from Dan Pear, Jake Vinson and Joe Derby, while Simon Collett scored a consolation for the hosts.

Barton United edged an 11-goal thriller 6-5 at home to Freeland Yeoman thanks to Tom Payne and Luke Cusp’s braces as well as goals from Shaun Jacob and Matthew Jacob.

Danny Taylor hit a hat-trick for the visitors and there were also goals for Tom Gerken and Aston Leach, but it wasn’t enough.

The Village Inn took their goals tally for the season to a remarkable 17 after just two games with an 8-4 thrashing of Black Swan in Division 1.

Marlelo Guilherme rattled in six of the home side’s goals as Max Palmer and Euzebio Mohr also netted.

Gary Belcher, Pete Iver and two from Danny Cox provided some consolation for the visitors.

Woodstock Wanderers were impressive 4-2 winners at North Oxford Conservative Club.

Luke Brennan struck twice and Charles Rose and Sennan Simmons also netted for the visitors.

The home side’s goals came from Steven Doyle and Joey Beauchamp.

Pat Clarke’s hat-trick proved the difference as Abingdon Exiles won 5-2 at Exeter Rangers in Division 2.

Mike Hooton also netted a brace for the away side, with Chris Thorne and Gareth Williams on target for Rangers.

New Club treated BSSC Abba FC to a second-half masterclass as they emerged 3-1 home victors.

Abba’s Jon Hawkins had cancelled out Anthony Clarke’s opener, but the hosts then pulled away thanks to strikes from Chris Kent and Richard Moffet.

In Division 3, Dilly United got off the mark with a fine 6-0 win over North Oxford Conservative Club Res.

Kieran Cochrane hit a four-timer, with Gary Pierce netting a brace.
