SAXTON Rovers Res booked their place in the final of the North Berks League’s Nairne Paul Cup with a 5-3 win on penalties after a 2-2 draw against East Hendred Res, writes Richard Underwood.

Paul Churchouse fired Saxton in front from the penalty spot, with Ben Eltham levelling early in the second half.

In extra-time, Toby Daley fired Hendred in front, only for Churchouse to head home in the dying moments to send the game to a shoot-out, which Saxton edged.

They will meet Lambourn Sports following their 3-2 extra-time win over Dorchester.

Lewis Aprea and Callum Stubbs scored for Dorchester, but goals from Damian Harris and Geren Scarlett sent the match into extra time, where Luke Peacock won it.

In Division 1, Louis Bloomfield was sent off as Saxton Rovers lost 3-2 to Berinsfield.

Aaran Colley, Chris Murphy and Luke Holdsworth netted for the visitors, with Tom Stanley and Frank Haines replying, Bloomfield being dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Cholsey United beat Blewbury 4-1 in Division 2.

Charlie Lee, Matthew Leach, Camden Laver and Martin Dawson were on the mark, with Arran Gray replying.

Letcombe secured the Division 3 crown with a 2-0 win at Milton United A.

Goals from Jamie Saulter and Lewis Ralphs set the champagne corks popping.

Eddie Stanhope hit a hat-trick as Harwell & Appleford saw off Drayton Res 3-0 in Division 4.
