THE Witney & District FA Premier Division title race took a huge twist as leaders Charlbury crashed to a 6-2 defeat at home to Hailey, to be replaced by FC Hollybush at the top.
Travis O’Connor bagged a brace for the visitors, with Jordan Cormack, Tom Gregory, Dev Wright and Jack Wood also on the mark as Charlbury – who replied through Craig McCallum and Josh Hunt – suffered a first defeat.
Hollybush beat hosts Tower Hill 1-0, Josh Grant scoring the only goal.
Spartan Rangers moved off the bottom after beating Kirtlington 1-0, Luke Pettifer on target.
Carterton Rangers now prop up the table as they were beaten 3-0 by Carterton Town A, for whom Nick Rose, Connor Kelly and Carl Ford scored.
Leaders Stonesfield fell to a shock 4-3 loss against Milton in Division 1.
Jim Littlewood (2), Alex Ayres and Levi Steele were on the mark, with Stonesfield replying through Chay Fisher, George Redknap and Mike Phipps.
Division 2 leaders Minster Lovell Res now only top the table on goal difference as they were beaten 1-0 by title-chasing Kingham All Blacks.
The only goal came from Will Wall as third-placed Kingham closed the gap on Minster to three points.
