SAXTON Rovers hammered Division 2 side Cholsey United 6-0 to cruise into the semi-finals of the North Berks League Cup, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

They went in front through a Tom Stanley penalty, before Danny Parry doubled the lead.

After the break, Kyle Allsworth made it 3-0, before Louis Bloomfield added No 4 from the penalty spot.

Ollie Nadin made it 5-0, and then completed the rout with his second of the game – Saxton’s sixth.

East Hendred beat Long Wittenham 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

Mike Hootton and Liam McCullough netted for Hendred, with Steve Molloy and John Willis replying.

Hootton sealed victory for Hendred with the winning penalty.

Holders Berinsfield were given a scare, being 3-2 down to Lambourn Sports before levelling and winning on penalties 5-4.

Max Palmer, Chris Murphy and Aaran Colley netted for Berinsfield, with Lambourn’s goals coming from Steve Leighfield (2) and Josh McGrory.

Berinsfield edged the shoot-out to set up a last-four clash with Saxton Rovers.

Drayton edged pat Watlington 2-1 thanks to goals from Nathan Merry and Alex Kerry, while William Wright replied.

In Division 1, Westminster edged out North Oxford 2-1.

James Bishop and Nick Christodoulou were on target, with Sonny Williamson replying.

East Hendred Res went three points clear at the top of Division 2 with a 4-2 win at Compton.

Ben Eltham, Liam Eltham, Liam Revell and an own goal secured the points, with Compton hitting back through Mike Butler and Ross Lawrence.
