FREELAND followed up their OFA Charity Cup final success with a 3-1 victory away to a spirited Mansfield Road side in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division.
After a goalless first half, unbeaten Freeland opened the scoring through Jason Lonsdale, who chipped the goalkeeper from 25 yards.
It was 2-0 when Conor Allmond’s corner was headed goalwards by Tom McCudden and nodded in by Danny Taylor.
McCudden ghosted past two players to add their third, before the hosts replied late on.
Cropredy bounced back from the previous week’s defeat to complete the double over Kennington with a 3-1 away win.
After Chay Buckingham put the visitors ahead, Andy Williams levelled before half-time, following Francesco Merola’s long throw.
Cropredy regained the lead when Aaron Dineen pounced on a defensive error and Buckingham netted to make it 3-0 and seal only Kennington’s third defeat all season.
