ARDLEY were left licking their wounds after being denied victory with the last kick of the game at Wembley.

However, they had only themselves to blame after failing to capitalise on numerous chances as Wembley equalised in the fourth minute of stoppage time to force a replay tomorrow night.

The visitors took the lead when Ryan Brooks pushed the ball behind the Wembley defence, before using his pace to fire into the net.

Minutes later, Louis Cordice found himself one-on-one with Wembley keeper Ini Amaeghi, who came off best, gathering the ball at Cordice’s feet.

Wembley found themselves coming more into the game, looking the sharper of the two sides, but Ardley’s defence denied them any chance of an equaliser.

After the break, Brooks had a chance to double Ardley’s lead, but this time, Amaeghi dived at his feet to make a brave save.

Brooks was again involved when he squared to Cordice, who placed his shot straight into the Wembley keepers’ hands.

The home side could not deal with the pace of Brooks, who had another fine chance soon after, only to drill his effort wide.

The home side threw caution to the wind in the dying moments, as they pumped long-balls into the Ardley box.

And they snatched a last-gasp equaliser as Chris Korten managed to scramble the ball home to force tomorrow’s replay, with the winners travelling to Bedfont Sports or Hanworth Villa.
