JACK Self’s first-half brace continued Oxford City’s strong run in pre-season as they won 2-0 at Beaconsfield Town.
Eddie Jones and Stefan Brown laid on the goals for the midfielder, who struck in the 22nd and 40th minutes to claim City’s third successive friendly win.
Brown thought he had put City 3-0 up 13 minutes from time, but after turning in Kyran Wiltshire’s cross he looked up to see an offside flag.
Pablo Haysham scored the only goal of the game as Banbury United won at Cirencester Town.
Meanwhile, Thame United have signed ex-Didcot Town midfielder Greg Hackett, while Nick Thorne has joined Wantage Town.
Didcot play Shrivenham at Cirencester tonight (7.45).
