KABONGO Tshimanga scored his 30th goal of the season – but a 95th-minute strike saw Oxford City go down 2-1 at home to new leaders Woking in last night’s Vanarama National League South clash.
City took the lead in the 14th minute when their top-scorer was fouled by Woking goalkeeper Craig Ross in the box and picked himself up to fire home from the spot.
However, the visitors levelled on 27 minutes when Armani Little, on loan from Oxford United, scored from a free-kick.
Josh Ashby went close for the hosts 20 minutes from time, his shot seemingly heading for the net only to be cleared off the line.
City squandered a golden chance to win it with four minutes remaining when Tshimanga’s ball into the centre was met by Brandon Thomas-Asante, but he fired over the bar.
And they were made to pay when another United loanee, Harvey Bradbury, fired in a half-volley in the fifth minute of added time to send Woking top.
Oxford City: King, Jones, Case, Ashby, Dielna (Moore-Azille 75), Oastler, Wiltshire (Bawling 61), Fleet (Hopkins 86), Tshimanga, Thomas-Asante, Self. Subs not used: Caro, James. Attendance: 347.
