Kennington United retained the Autotype UTV League's Ridgeway Cup with a controversial 3-0 final win over Punchbowl Pirates, who had two players sent off and their manager ordered from the dugout, writes Tim Siret.

A bumper crowd of more than 500 at Abingdon United’s Northcourt Road saw the Pirates have the better of a goalless first period.

But they then suffered three dismissals in the second – all for foul and abusive language.

Kennington’s first goal came from a penalty, converted by Stu Cattell.

Pirates, whose influential John Cummings had been taken ill in the first half, reacted strongly to the decision and never recovered.

John Mills made it 2-0, following up to score after Pirates keeper Ben Duke had saved his original shot.

Late on, Duke, Luke McIntosh and Pirates’ manager Andy Fudge got their marching orders, before Ollie Wright came off the bench to complete the scoring.

Dominic Bruno smashed his second treble in two games as AFC Cowley thrashed Bay Tree 10-2 in Division 1.

Joe Cook and Mark Barrett hit doubles, with Byron Jose, Daniel Richmond and Dan Bruno also scoring.

Kings Arms Wheatley romped to a 5-2 home win over in-form Childrey OHB.

Benji Cuff fired home from 20 yards before Darren Smith, Adam Simmonds, Luke Cuff and Neil Lockhart added to the tally. Sean Webb and Bill McDonald replied.

AFC Woodfarm celebrated lifting the Division 2 title by hammering relegation-threatened Wallingford Exiles 9-0.

Ben Green grabbed a hat-trick and Jake Howard and Rory Mangan hit doubles.

Midfielder Paul Alder and an own goal completed the scoring for Woodfarm.

Lee Clack hit a brace, including a penalty, as Abba Athletic came away from Sandman with a 3-1 victory.

The home side took a first-half lead after Paddy O’Reagan released Simon Bannister to score, but Clack and Luke James saw Abba home.

Andrew Pantry hit a hat-trick in Oxford FC’s 5-2 win over Wallingford Wanderers. Claude Ngoma and an own goal completed their tally, with Danny and Martin Woods replying.

Andy Wheeler fired a four-timer as Blacks Head Bletchingdon crushed eight-man Northway Boys & Girls 10-0 in Division 3A.

Adam Wells weighed in with a hat-trick, while Chris Thorne (2) and Steve Brock completed the scoring.

Cross Keys Wallingford went back to the top of Division 3B after a 4-0 win at Berinsfield Rebels.

Tom Couling struck twice for Keys, with James Taylor and Patrick Frazer helping to keep their championship hopes alive.

Long Wittenham finished the season with a second away win, beating ten-man Abingdon Exiles 6-1.

Phil Lynch (2), Liam Woods, Chris Freeman, Ollie Saunders and Steve Malloy netted, while Exiles’ lone strike came from Rob Lucibello.
