Stand-in goalkeeper Gareth Jackson made three penalty saves as Donnington won a shoot-out 3-2 against AFC Jericho in the Autotype UTV League's Ridgeway Cup quarter-finals, writes TIM SIRET.

The match finished all square at 3-3 after extra time, underdogs Jericho having stormed into a two-goal lead, thanks to a double strike from top-scorer Jack Hayhurst.

Michael Steers and Josh Green levelled for Donnington, who then took the lead through Tyrone Willett.

This time a resolute Jericho hit back through Lance New, sending the game into extra time and penalties.

Donnington keeper Luke Watts was injured earlier, so Jackson saw out the 30 minutes and then saved three Jericho spot-kicks, with Green, Ian Smith and Aaron Hall firing home to put the Division 3A leaders into the last four.

JET, from Division 3B, caused an upset when they beat Division 2 promotion candidates Wallingford Wanderers 2-0, thanks to goals from James Broughton and Richard Law.

There was another surprise as Punchbowl Pirates went through 4-2 at Wallingford Exiles.

Adam Oram (2), Rich Willans and Paul Drudge put the Pirates 4-0 ahead, before Dave Cheesman and a James Evans penalty led an Exiles comeback, but it was too late.

A goal in each half saw favourites and holders Kennington United squeeze past rivals AFC Woodfarm 2-0.

Jay Morris and Mark Druce scored for Kennington in their quest for a league and cup double.

Anaclet Odhiambo hit a four-timer as AFC Hinksey thrashed Sutton Revolution 13-1 to close the gap on Division 1 leaders Barton United to seven points, with a game in hand.

Micah Roachford and Jer-ome McCalmon both grabbed hat-tricks, with their other goals coming from Jamel Thomas (2) and Michaes Herbert. Chris Shahab replied for Sutton.

Ian Marshall bagged a brace as Dorchester United beat Sam Waters Oxfordshire Sunday Cup finalists AFC Cowley 4-0. Colin Royall and Luke Saunders also scored.

Oxford Yellows’ warm-up for this Sunday’s final saw them come away from Standlake Garage with an 8-0 win.

Sean Flaherty hit a treble, with Russell Webb (2), Joey Beauchamp, Chris Haines and Ryan Davies also scoring.

Childrey OHB won the Wantage derby at The Bay Tree 6-2.

Sean Webb scored twice, with Ben Taylor, Alan Haines, Jamie Wilkins and Danny Cannings also netting.

Two Bay Tree players, Jason Maynard and Jake Thomas, were sent off for foul and abusive language.

Richard Wells hit a hat-trick as Kidlington Royals eased their relegation worries with an 8-2 win over fellow strugglers OUP Wanderers.

Daniel Wise (2), Mark Gradwell, Jamie Burns and Tim Wyatt completed their tally, with Wanderers replying through James Westwood and Luke Murphy as both teams played with nine men.

Didcot Casuals gave their goal difference a boost with a 10-2 home demolition over Oxford FC in Division 2.

Johnny Eudell fired a four-timer, with Jamie Clark hitting a hat-trick, John Hedges netting twice and Joe Murphy wrapping up the scoring.

Research Machines came from behind to beat Abba Athletic 2-1 thanks to Matty Lyford and Lee Cook.

Abba had taken a first-half lead through Scott Blackwell.

Jon Hill’s brace saw Sandman recorded only their second league win of the season with a 2-1 victory at home to Woodstock Wanderers.

Sandman keeper Warren Copping made several good stops, but was beaten by Tennyson Mawema.

Mansfield Road went top of Division 3A with 3-0 win at Yellow Eagles, courtesy of goals from Ben Sherlock, Alex Heath and Joe Leigh.

Alex Gardner scored a hat-trick of penalties in Blacks Head Bletchingdon’s 8-2 win at Bicesterlona.

Gary Pearson (2), Adam Wells, Andy White and Chris Thorne completed Blacks Head’s tally, with Johnny Moore and Michael Woodward replying.

Antony Simpson was another hat-trick hero as Leys Wanderers stormed to a 5-1 win at home to beat Iffley Harriers.

Sam Tombs and James Wells also netted for Leys, who have been transformed by the acquisition of Portuguese midfielder Jefferson Assumpcao and goalkeeper Ramos Perriea. Jack Barrett netted for Harriers.

Cross Keys Wallingford extended their lead in Division 3B to 12 points, but struggled to see off Abingdon Knights 3-2.

A Chris Greenaway double proved decisive for Keys, with Richard Eyres also on target.

Brothers Chris and Phil Stringer netted to give Keys the jitters.

Mike Piper hit a brace in Abingdon Exiles’s 5-1 home win over Berinsfield Rebels.

Ian Bishop, Dave Bannister and Andy Aldington were also on target for Exiles, with Aaron Stockford replying.
