Didcot Town boss Stuart Peace is looking for more of the same when they host high-fliers Leamington in the Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division on Tuesday night.

On Saturday, the Railwaymen moved nine points clear of the drop zone with a 3-0 success against Merthyr – their sixth game without defeat.

“We played well and created some good chances. Josh Huggins [making his full debut] set a goal up and scored, so I was very pleased with him,” said Peace, who welcomes back midfielder Michael Alexis into the squad after injury.

“Last week, we got seven points from a possible nine which is a decent record.

“We are looking to finish the season as strongly as we can to set up a good platform for next season.”

Tom Buckner takes over in goal from the suspended Matt Trott, while Philip John could return to the squad.

Oxford City will be without striker Lee Steele (hamstring) and Mark Bell (back) when they travel to Clevedon.

City are looking to make it six games unbeaten having come back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Swindon Supermarine on Saturday.

“The win was very pleasing and the dressing room was buzzing,” said manager Mike Ford. “We now need to take that on to Clevedon.”

North Leigh are expected to be at full strength when they host Thatcham in Division 1 South & West.

Abingdon United’s match at Gosport Borough on Monday night was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
