Oxford Yellows, last year’s runners-up, are on course to go one better this time after a 5-1 victory over Chalgrove in the Sam Waters Oxfordshire Sunday Cup quarter-finals, writes TIM SIRET.

Russell Webb and Ryan Brooks fired Yellows into a two-goal lead, before Rob Cantwell replied.

Chalgrove were then caught on the break with Craig Hanlon, Kyle McCoy and Ronnie Kebabwede netting to see Yellows through to a semi-final against Kings Arms Wheatley.

Kings Arms came from a goal down to win 4-1 at home to ten-man Kidmore End.

Robert Dighton gave Kidmore End the lead, but the game turned when the visitors had Simon Butler sent off for handball on the goalline.

The resulting penalty was missed, but top-scorer Neil Lockhart converted a later spot-kick, and other goals followed from Sean Jacobs and brothers Luke and Benji Cuff.

AFC Cowley could be dark horses after they won a thrilling quarter-final 6-3 after extra time at home to Thame United Social.

Aaron Barrett and Nick Thorne grabbed doubles for Cowley, with Daniel Richmond and Dan Barrett also netting.

In the semi-finals on Sunday, March 7, AFC Cowley face Banbury Spurs, who won 3-1 at AFC Crowmarsh.
