Railway Wheatley are the early Alan Alder Trophy pacesetters after an 11-0 demolition at Red Lion Brightwell.

Railway led 4-0 at half-time playing against the wind, but Brightwell hardly helped themselves as Daniel Gunston and Chris Baker both saw red, leaving their team to play most of the match with nine men.

Jordan Reid top-scored with a hat-trick, Phil Lowe hit a brace and there were no less than six other scorers – Shaun Liptrot, Leon Cozier and Joel Chadbone, both from the spot, Dean Malliagh, Richard Brookes and Tony Forster.

Nick Rogers did not score, but set up six of his side’s goals.

Ross Tabor and Luke McIntosh hit doubles as Punchbowl Pirates beat Iffley Harriers 4-1.

Maurius Langner hit the Harriers consolation.

Josh Green hit a treble as Woodstock Wanderers squeezed past Bowyers Arms 3-2.

Luke Dewar and Kearan Russell almost salvaged a point for Bowyers.
