Ellie Noble hit double for Oxford United
ELLIE Noble scored twice as Oxford United Women won 2-1 at Actonians Ladies in the FA WPL Cup.
The first goal came from a 26th-minute free-kick and she struck again from outside the box, this time from open play, just after the hour mark.
Actonians pulled a goal back nine minutes from time, but the visitors held firm late on.
Boss Liam Gilbert said: “As the group gels together and starts to understand each other more we will be more effective with the ball.”
Watford visit Court Place Farm in the National League on Saturday (3pm).
