MINSTER Lovell Res edged a thrilling ten-goal encounter with visitors Charlbury Town Res to book their place in the semi-finals of the Jack Busby Memorial Trophy, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

Minster ran out 6-4 victors as Aidan Foard hit a hat-trick, with Russell Whitlock (2) and Gary Mitchell also on target in the Witney & District FA competition.

Damien Corbin’s treble and a Michael Hayes strike were in vain for Charlbury.

FC Hollybush booked their place in the semi-finals of the Fred Ford Cup with a 3-0 win over Stonesfield.

Craig Mays, Dean Mays and Rory Linford-Pill scored.

In the Supplementary Cup first round, strikes from John Wood, Si Oakley and Dave Wanless put Carterton Town B through with a 3-1 win at Chipping Norton Town Res, who replied through Mark Corbett.

Bampton United Res edged through with a 3-2 win over visitors Chadlington Res.

Their goals came from Kieron Colley, Steve Newman and Mark Carrington, while Charlie White and Matt Chadwick hit back for Chad.

It took penalties to separate Corinthians and FC Hollybush Res after a 3-3 draw.

Frank Webb (2) and Harry Purfitt netted for the hosts, with Steve Holder (2) and Paul Read levelling for Hollybush, who won the shoot-out 3-2.

In the Premier Division, Carterton Town A lost 3-2 against visitors Chipping Norton Town.

Dan Newman, Josh Hunt and Reece Bayliss were on target for Chippy, with Carterton replying through Sam Cairns and Ross Standing.

Witney Royals’ Jamie Goodwin smashed a hat-trick as his side trounced Eynsham SSC 6-1 in Division 1.

Miles Roberts (2) and Dave Cross were also on the mark, with Eynsham replying through Stephen Chappel.

Middle Barton increased their lead at the top of Division 2 with a 3-0 win over Witney Wanderers.

John Umney (2) and Jack Fowler were on target.

A brace from Tom Jones and a Curtis Hathaway strike saw Hailey Res to a 3-0 win over Aston Res.

The race for the Division 4 title was blown wide open as Kingham AB Res beat leaders Wootton 3-0.

Kingham, who move up to third, scored through Sam Barker, Liam Barnes and Adrian Williams.
