Morrells of Oxford Sunday League

Barton United surprised leaders Nelson as they inflicted a rare defeat on their hosts in the Premier Division, running out 1-0 victors.

With the strong wind, Barton struggled to get out of their half in the first period, but restricted Nelson to long-range shots.

However, with the wind at their backs after the break, Barton made better use of the elements and went in front when Cain Wheal's cross from the left picked out Luka Rizkalla, whose shot was deflected into the net.

Six Bells Kidlington rattled in five past a lacklustre Riverside, despite going behind to a Ben Moses strike.

Ryan Curtin pulled Bells level before the break, then fired them in front early in the second half.

James Philpott headed in No 3, before Steve Litten and Stewart Palmer completed a 5-1 victory.

Mansfield Road took the points from their visit to Star Wanderers as they ran out 2-0 winners, thanks to goals from Denys Wahl and Leon Nikitenko.

Berinsfield completed their Division 1 campaign with a 2-1 win at Cowley Rovers.

Ted Bateman made up for missing a penalty last week by converting two spot-kicks.

The first was given when Mark Ingram was brought down by the Cowley goalkeeper, who was shown a red card.

Bateman stepped up to drill home into the bottom corner.

No 2 came when the referee gave a harsh handball decision in the box and Bateman again made no mistake.

Cowley pulled one back through Abdul Khan, but Berinsfield held on.

Northway and Oxford City Supporters shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw.

In Division 2, champions Chalgrove finished their season in style with a 3-0 win over local rivals AFC Watlington.

After a goalless first half, Chalgrove took control after the break.

Nick Skiller notched a double, with Peter Clark adding a third goal.

Marston Saints crashed 5-1 against Railway Wheatley Res.

Paul Cooper grabbed a brace for the visitors, with Nick Burden, Phil Cooke and Dan Lowe also on target.

John Hudson snatched Marston's reply.
