ABINGDON School Under 15s have been crowned National T20 champions.

The teenagers cruised past Cheadle Hulme School to lift the trophy, restricting their opponents to 126 in their 20 overs.

Abingdon lost just two wickets as they successfully chased down the target to win the title.

It capped a fantastic finals day, with the Oxfordshire school overcoming 40-over champions Forest School in the last four.

Abingdon battled through several rounds to reach the latter stages, beating Bradfield in July.

They overcame King Edwards Southampton in the competition’s Round of 16, before seeing off Millfield School in the quarter-finals to set up their successful finals day.
