SKIPPER Jonny Cater will miss the start of Oxfordshire’s Unicorns Counties T20 campaign because he is attending the christening of his child.
Richard Kaufman will lead Oxon in the double-header against Herefordshire at Bicester & Oxford last weekend.
But Cater returns for the two matches against Shropshire at Shrewsbury on Monday.
Oxfordshire give a debut to Oxford MCCU batsman Harry Adair after he impressed against them last Sunday.
Gloucestershire all-rounder Miles Hammond returns for his first run-out in Oxfordshire colours on the Sunday, while he is replaced by Cater the following day.
All-rounder Tom Price, who impressed against Oxford MCCU last weekend, is unavailable due to academic commitments.
Also in Oxon’s group are Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
Each of the counties, who will wear coloured clothing, play two matches against the same opposition in one day.
Play starts each day at 11am, with the second game scheduled for mid-afternoon
The county that tops the group will play in the T20 finals at Wormsley on August 26.
