Josh Megson took 7-10 from 5.5 overs to send Long Marston to an embarrassing defeat and his Banbury 2nd side back into the top flight.

Marston were all out for 33 as Megson and Ed Smith (3-19) wreaked havoc. The visitors needed 8.5 overs to reach 34-1 and finish runners-up.

Joining them in Division 1 by champions Great Brickhill, who beat Sandford St Martin.

Sandford made only 129, Greg Pearson hitting 40 in Brickhill’s 130-2.

Abingdon Vale finish third after Mike Cook’s five-wicket salvo helped them win at Wolverton Town.

Cook finished with 5-62 as Town progressed painfully slowly to 111-9.

Vale required rather less time to reach 115-4, Alex Bowles contributing 37.

Wolverton Town 4, Abingdon Vale 25

Tiddington narrowly failed to pull off a home win over Challow & Childrey.

Put in to bat, the hosts were struggling on 54-5 before Nick Pykett (67) and Matt Maule (63) added 82 to set up a bold declaration on 235-8 after 48 overs.

Challow were 34-4, but Steve Burry’s fine 105 not out kept them in the game before another collapse left them on 212-9.

Tiddington 19, Challow & Childrey 8

Aston Rowant 2nd won for only the second time this season – with both successes coming over Banbury Twenty.

Tim Foster took of 7-50 from 18.2 overs as Twenty limped to 129-9 from their 53 overs.

Rondel Baker’s 55 not out helped Rowant reach 130-6.
