OXFORDSHIRE are celebrating after winning Division 3 Group C of the ECB Women’s County Championship.
Victories over Cornwall and Gloucestershire helped them land the title and preserve their 100 per cent record in the 50-over format.
On a rain affected day in Bicester, Oxon were inserted by Cornwall.
Despite the game being reduced to 44 overs, the hosts were dismissed for 211 off the penultimate ball, Ellie Noble (44) and Abi Flory (36) top-scoring.
Cornwall were set a revised target of 202, but they lost by 106 runs as they fell for 95 in 28 overs, Ellie Norton taking 5-17.
Oxon then travelled to Chipping Sodbury to beat Gloucestershire by four wickets.
The hosts elected to bat and posted 155 all out in 48 overs, Emilia Bartram (3-22) and Sophie Mitchelmore (3-44) starring with the ball.
Oxon reached the total in 28.3 overs, with Flory hitting 63 off 70 balls for her maiden half-century for the county.
