CHRIS Asque hammered an unbeaten century as early front-runners Witney Swifts marched on with a 59-run victory over Faringdon in Division 1.

Asque struck 116 not out and Max Godwin 50 as Swifts set 191-4, before Bob Godwin took 3-22 to help dismiss the visitors for 132.

Stonesfield beat hosts Chipping Norton by five wickets in a match reduced to 35 overs a side.

After restricting Chippy to 154-5, Jamie Burns (70no) and James Grist-Perkins (61) led Stonesfield to 158-5.

Oxenford edged out visitors Garsington & Cowley by one wicket.

Waqas Mir (4-26) and Bilal Siddiqi (4-58) combined to bowl Garsington out for 147.

Abdullah Saeed claimed 4-31 for the visitors, but Oxenford edged in at 150-9.

A knock of 63 for Tom Stewart-Liberty helped Wolvercote to a 47-run victory against visitors Westcott.

Wolvercote were held to 140-9, Tanveer Hussain taking 5-29 and Mark Strong returning 4-24.

But three wickets each for Barkat Ahmed and Amit Borlikar saw Westcott fall for 93.

In Division 2, Martin Hanscombe struck 104 as Cairns Fudge hammered hosts Clifton Hampden by 164 runs.

Hanscombe and Steve Shaw (64) took Fudge to 228-8, Matt Burton taking 5-71.

Shaw then shone with the ball, claiming 4-17 as Clifton were shot out for 64.

Kilkenny needed the target score method to see off visitors Stanton Harcourt.

Darren Gordon hit 51 in Kilkenny’s 190-9.

After a rain delay, the revised target of 147 was beyond Stanton, who fell for 129 as Chris May took 4-47.

Bampton cruised to a nine-wicket win over visitors Hanborough.

Matt Williams (5-18) helped to bowl Hanborough out for just 105 and then Ted Landray (54no) saw Bampton to 106-1.

A super knock of 91 from Ritesh Mistry helped Tetsworth to an imposing total of 230 all out as they entertained East & West Hendred.

And the target proved way beyond Hendred, who slumped to 102 all out, Andy Francis top-scoring with 48.

Wootton & Boars Hill defeated visitors Watlington by five wickets.

Billy Webb (3-45) was the pick of the Wootton attack, which restricted Watlington to 155-9.

Oliver Morton then scored 51 to lead Wootton home at 158-5.

DIVISIONS 3-5

BEN Jackson and Tom Broughton took five wickets apiece as Brill thumped Radley by seven wickets in Division 3.

Broughton (5-14) and Jackson (5-29) shot Radley out for 51, Brill easing to 56-3 to seal victory.

Kidlington saw off Marcham by five wickets on the target score method.

Marcham set 152 all out, but following rain, the revised target of 138 was reached by Kidlington, for whom Richard Walker top-scored with 47.

Hook Norton defeated Combe by 86 runs in another rain-affected game reduced to 25 overs a side.

Hooky posted 163-9, Dan White hitting 53, and then restricted Combe to just 77-4 in reply.

Craig Atlas claimed 6-19 to help Chadlington to a seven-wicket success at home to Deddington in Division 4.

The visitors were shot out for 68, allowing Chadlington to ease home at 69-3.

Witney Swifts 2nd saw off Garsington & Cowley 2nd by seven wickets.

After youngster Owen Dore (4-19) helped dismiss the hosts for 149, Ashley Horne hit 70 not out as Swifts reached 150-3.

Wolvercote 2nd hammered hosts Uffington by 136 runs.

They posted 187 all out, which proved way beyond the home side, who were bowled out for 51 as Naseer Khan claimed 4-12.

DIVISIONS 5-7

DOMINIC Whinfrey scored 101 not out in 70 balls to help Sunningwell to a seven-wicket victory over Letcombe in Division 5.

The visitors were bowled out for 144, before Whinfrey’s ton led Sunningwell to victory.

Aaron Huish grabbed an unbeaten ton for Tetsworth 2nd in their 97-run win at East & West Hendred 2nd.

Tetsworth were dismissed for 279, Huish scoring exactly 100 not out.

Ian Phillips hit 88 in Hendred’s reply, but they were held to 182-8.

In Division 6, Richard Knight’s

five-wicket haul helped Hook Norton 2nd to an eight-wicket win at Swinbrook.

Knight took 5-17 in Swinbrook’s 102, then Rob Webb hit 46 as

Hooky cruised to 105-2.

Gary Ellis claimed 5-30 to help Westcott 2nd to a four-run win over Kidlington 2nd.

In Division 7 North, Razwan Dogar struck 99 not out as Kidlington 3rd cruised to a ten-wicket win at Deddington 2nd, while Steve Cooper’s 89 not out saw Witney Swifts 3rd to a 23-run victory at Stonesfield 2nd.

Marcham 2nd edged a thriller at home to Faringdon 2nd in Division 7 South, winning by one wicket.

They dismissed Marcham for 150, Adam Grady taking 3-25, before sneaking home at 151-9 as Charlie Mason top-scored with 36.
