A MAGNIFICENT unbeaten 169 from Banbury captain Benji Hector and a century from Chris Smith proved in vain as they were held to a draw at home to Henley on Saturday.
Batting first, Banbury racked up the runs, posting 334-3 declared.
Banbury had Henley reeling on 25-3, but they recovered well with Adrian Greyvenstein top-scoring with 67.
He was ably assisted by Bjorn Mordt who made 52.
The pick of the Banbury bowlers was Ryan Newhook, who captured 3-87.
