Tyrone Eales’s all-round display helped Banbury beat Bicester & North Oxford by 40 runs in their Oxfordshire quarter-final of the ECB Under 15 Club Championship.
Eales hit 36 and Thomas Bunting 35 in Banbury’s 130-6, then the former took 3-15 in hosts Bicester’s 90-8.
Charlbury captain Adam Mayho went a sixth successive match without getting out, but his side still suffered a 16-run defeat at Oxford Downs.
Mayho’s 50 not out – his sixth half-century in a row –led Charlbury to 108-6.
Alex Ling (42) and Harry Anderson (40) had fired Downs to 124-6, Cameron Newton-Grain taking 3-19.
