Carterton's Stuart Richens and Headington’s How-ard Watts will go head-to-head in this year’s Oxfordshire Two Wood singles final – ensuring there will be a new name on the trophy.

Richens, who lost in the inaugural final of this competition in 2012, bids to go one better after beating Headington’s Ray Gaskins (last 16), Ian Snowdon (quarter-finals) and Kelvin Woodward (semi-final).

Watts had comfortable wins over Banbury Central’s Graham Morbey, Brian Clarke, from Woodstock, and George Schwab (Banbury Borough).

Earlier in the day, Schwab led his rink to a comfortable win at Kidlington in the National Under 25 County Two Fours Competition for the White Rose Trophy as Oxfordshire beat Sussex.

He then moved to South Oxford and reached the semi-finals on the back of wins against City & County’s Paul Comley and Watlington’s Mark Plested.

Finals day will take place on Sunday, July 19 on Richens’s home green.
