WOODSTOCK Harriers and Witney Road Runners pulled off a west Oxfordshire double in the County Road Relays at Hook Norton.

Harriers won the men’s race by more than two minutes, while Witney took the ladies’ team prize, pipping Alchester by 20 seconds.

Headington Road Runners won both the veterans’ events, with their ladies’ trio of Diane Moore, Jude Craft and Rosemary Payne beating all the senior sides.

Banbury Harriers’ Tim Wright and Witney’s Elysia Ridley ran the fastest men’s and ladies’ legs, completing the 3.25-mile course in 17.16 and 19.14 respectively.
