SARAH Rendell produced a personal best performance to take victory at the Bupa Great South Run 5K in Portsmouth.
Rendell (Alchester) was the first lady home and 17th overall in a time of 18mins 30secs.
The vet 40 athlete finished 1min 21secs ahead of runner-up Gemma Bigg, with fellow Basingstoke runner Gemma Wildash (20.35) third.

Former Oxford University student Luke Caldwell finished tenth in the Bupa Great South Run over ten miles, which was the weekend’s main event.
Caldwell clocked a personal best time of 48.47, while Alchester’s Paul Swanton was the first Oxon club runner home, finishing 70th in 58.45.
