JASON Bowers said having fun had been the key to Chinnor’s shock home victory over Worthing.

Chinnor’s head coach said: “We talked a lot this week about just enjoying playing.

“Today we played with a big smile on our faces from the first minute.

“Having got an early try, we then shut them down and got amongst them.

“We never let them run the game.

“I was absolutely over the moon that we went on to win and deserved to.”

Bowers added: “I thought our pack gave us a great platform.

“They were very good at the breakdown.

“I felt our back line got back to where they wanted to be and were always dangerous.

“Overall it was just an outstanding performance.

“This was going to be one of our hardest games.

“To win against a side who will do well in this league, there is no question about it, was a great effort.”
