JASON Buck held his nerve to give Littlemore Royal British Legion a 4-2 win over Abingdon Conservative Club in the opening match of the season.
Buck lost the first of his two games to Karl Walker in the Premier/Division 1 clash in the Oxford & District League, sponsored by Gentworks.
But with the match score at 3-2, Buck came good in the final frame, winning it 73-51 to give his side victory.
There was drama in Division 2, where all three matches ended in draws.
