MICHAEL Duberry boosted Oxford United ’s travelling support last weekend by watching the win at Bristol Rovers from the terraces.
It was only five days after the 36-year-old had neck surgery, and he was still wearing the protective dressing.
In among the 1,019 in the away end was a banner of support for Duberry displayed by seven supporters.
Fellow injured players Peter Leven and Andy Whing also made the trip west, which pleased U’s boss Chris Wilder .
He said: “The fact they want to come and be a part of it certainly makes my job a lot easier when you have people with that sort of character.
“They’re part of the club, everyone has a part and they might not be playing massive parts now, but they certainly will across the season.”
