DIDCOT Conservative Club are champions of Group A in the Oxford Summer League after a brilliant 5-1 home win over Comrades, writes PETE EWINS.
And Berinsfield A have landed the Group B crown after a 5-1 victory over Marlborough.
Stuart Florey and Dave Tooke won twice for Didcot, with Dennis Atkins, who hit 10,000, completing an emphatic victory.
Simon Ellam saved the whitewash with victory in the final leg.
Geoff Mace and Craig Mace each recorded two victories for Berinsfield, with John Boal making up the victory over a Marlborough side who should finish runners-up. Results Berinsfield A 5, Marlborough 1; Didcot CC 5, Comrades 1; Masons 5, Vikings 1; Gladiators 2, Bletchington 4.

- OXFORD A went down 3-2 at Portsmouth in the first leg of the Inter-Area Cup semi-final.
Steven Sheard and Kevin Godfrey won for Oxford, but their side must overcome a 3,000-point deficit in the return leg at Kennington next month.
- Oxfordshire’s Steven Sheard won the Bucks Open after beating fellow county player Phil Collins in the final.
Sheard saw off Terry Isard (Bucks) in the semi-final and also picked up the highest break of the day award with 19,280.
Another Oxfordshire player, Colin Martin, won the plate after defeating Merv Yearwood, from Bucks, in the final.
