JOHN Mills grabbed a hat-trick as North Leigh won 3-1 at Cirencester Town in the Evo-Stik Southern League.

It was 0-0 at half-time in the Division 1 South & West clash, but the Millers came out all guns blazing.

Man-of-the-match Kieran Sanders set up all three of Mills’s goals, the first two coming on 64 and 66 minutes.

Cirencester pulled one back through Matt Sysun on 75 minutes, but Mills struck his third in stoppage time.

Abingdon United lost 3-1 at home to Swindon Supermarine.

Tom Cole and Josh Parsons put Swindon 2-0 up on 30 and 40 minutes respectively.

Ashley Edenborough sealed Supermarine’s spoils, although Toby Newell bagged a late consolation for Abingdon.

Banbury United slipped to a 4-1 defeat at Barwell in the Premier Division – and had a man sent -off.

Adelynka Talabi cancelled out Paul Spacey’s opener for Barwell, but the game turned on two decisions.

Barwell’s Jamie Towers scored a penalty, when Banbury felt the foul had been five yards outside the area, then the visitors’ Ryan Howell was sent-off on 58 minutes.

Captain Scott Hadland and subsititute Nigel Julien gave Barwell’s victory some gloss with late goals.
