Oxford City’s Hannah England bounced back to winning ways at the Gugl Games in Linz, Austria.

The 25-year-old, who finished only ninth in the Olympic 1,500m semi-finals on her last start, dropped back in trip to tackle an 800m last night.

And she enjoyed a morale-boosting win, beating Americans Anan Pierce and Molly Beckwith in a time of 1min 59.66secs.

Lawrence Clarke, from Christmas Common, near Watlington, finished third in the 110m hurdles in 13.45secs.

The 22-year-old, who ran a blinder to finish fourth in the Olympic final, took the minor honours behind Russia’s Sergej Shubenkov (13.09) and Barbados’s Ryan Braithwaite (13.23).
