Henley Hawks delivered a nine-try blast to blow away Division 2 North side Bromsgrove 55-7 in a friendly at Dry Leas.

But it only came after Bromsgrove had caught Henley cold with a try by centre James Lloyd Jones after 34 seconds, converted by fly half Aaron Higgins.

No 8 Robbie Stapley and wing Liam O’Neill scored two tries apiece, with wing Xavier Andre, flanker Ryan Newman, wing Richard Briggs, prop Hugo Milford Scott and scrum half Joe Southwell also crossing the Bromsgrove line.

Ed Yarnton kicked three conversions, with James Comben and Danny Wells landing one each.
