CROPREDY were knocked off the top by Bledlow Village, who beat them by seven wickets.

Joe Fox (30) was the only home batsman to shine as they all struggled against Mark King (6-37).

Cropredy’s total of 162-9 never looked enough as Harry Moseley (71) and Adam Mould (42) steered the visitors to 163-3 with almost five overs to spare.

Ben Keeping took 7-60 for Bledlow Ridge, but finished on the losing side as Witney Mills gave their survival chances a boost.

Mills made 174-9 despite Keeping’s best efforts, with Pierre Lefort hitting 51.

Richard Tilley (3-28), Steve Kelly (3-47) and Chaminda Wimalarathna (3-19) then bowled out Ridge for 149.

Witney closed the gap on Kingston Bagpuize, who picked up only four points away at Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd.

Ian Lewis (66), Tom King (40) and Shane Duff (38) helped the hosts reach 235-8, Damian Wiskin taking 3-66.

Martin Shepherd’s 51 only delayed the inevitable as James McLaren took 4-21 in Bagpuize’s 128 all out.

Ollie Murrey took 6-45 and Michael Thomas 3-20 as Bicester & North Oxford were skittled for 156 at home to Banbury 3rd. Richard Simpson top-scored with 47.

The visitors were made to work hard, but Jamie Coles (35) and Saim Hussain (32no) helped them reach 157-6 .

Chearsley look doomed after losing by six wickets to Dinton 2nd.

Andy Crichton (44), Russell Haynes (41) and Paul Atkins (37) led Chearsley to 182-7.

Faisal Ali took 4-68 for the hosts and then watched Archie Hammond hammer 92 as Dinton dashed to 183-4.
