OCA Division 2 leaders Chadlington suffered a major setback as they fell to a 36-run home defeat against Marsh Gibbon , who moved off the bottom, writes KIEREN BUSHNELL.
Stuart Leonard hit 33 not out in Marsh Gibbon’s 166-7, before Carl Needham claimed 5-33 as Chadlington were all out for 130.
Second-placed East & West Hendred also crashed to a shock defeat as Stonesfield cruised to a ten-wicket win.
The home side managed only 161-8, Ivan Mulford top-scoring with 56, but Tim Wyatt then smashed 101 not out in Stonesfield’s 164-0.
Oxford Caribbean closed the gap on the top two with a 36-run win over Faringdon .
Dave Prosper’s 72 led Caribbean to 187 all out, while Faringdon were dismissed for 151 as Brian Barrett took 4-14.
There was a thrilling clash at Westcott , where Tetsworth ran out one-wicket winners.
Rasika Arukgoda hit 101 and Talib Hussain 86 as Westcott made 238-9, but Tetsworth scraped to 242-9, thanks to Muralidharan Jeyachandaran’s 75.
