WALLINGFORD came out on top in their own NGG Sports mixed tournament at the Hithercroft.
Organised by local residents Tim Chamberlain and Nicholas Golding, the event attracted 14 teams from as far as London, Burton and Lewes.
Wallingford won Pool A with Phoenix and Ranelagh coming second, while London Phoenixes topped Pool B, with Burton runners-up.
After securing semi-final victories, Wallingford and London Phoenixes met in the final.
The hosts triumphed 3-1 thanks to a brace of goals from Paul Flavell. This tournament acted as a build-up to the 2012-13 season.
Fitness training has already started at the Hithercroft on Wednesdays at 7pm.
