Aston Rowant trainer Lawney Hill celebrated the biggest success of her career with I Have Dreamed in the Betfred Summer Plate at Market Rasen on Saturday by hosting a music festival for 1,500 fans.

Hill, who took out a licence to train in 2005, saddled the ten-year-old gelding to take the £50,000-added Listed handicap chase – which carried a first prize of £28,475 – by a short head from Al Co on his first start for her, with David Bass aboard, at 9-1.

And the duo teamed up to complete a 55-1 double with Bellaboosh (9-2), also on her first start for the yard, in the novices’ handicap chase.

And then she dashed back to her base where the Astonbury Music Festival was taking place after being switched from Aston Rowant Cricket Club due to recent heavy rain. Hill, who is assisted by her husband, Alan said: “It was an amazing day. It was really nice both us were there for the best day of our racing lives.

“It is the best win we have had and it helps put us on the map. It is one of the biggest races of the summer – there are not many other £50,000 races.”
