LEADERS Horspath dismissed their opponents for less than 100 for the third week in a row, with Great Brickhill their latest victims at the weekend.

Patrick Foster led the way with 5-28 as the visitors succumbed for only 97.

Earlier Horspath had made 209 before they were all out, Robbie Eason hitting 62 and Foster 35, while Garth Davson (6-41) took his personal tally this season to 17 wickets.

Simon Watkins has also reached the 17-wicket mark after claiming 5-44 in Oxford Downs’ straightforward sev-en-wicket win over Buckingham Town.

Only Graham Judd (32) and Simon Myatt (30) got going for long in Town’s 173-9, made from 53 overs.

After Wasim Mehmood (31) got the home side's reply on its way, Andrew Buckingham (54no) and Watkins (44no) finished it off.

There was a thrilling finish at Great & Little Tew, where the hosts lost by only five runs to Leighton Buzzard Town.

Buzzard had managed 216 before being bowled out, with Jack Kempster (70), Phil Whatmore (58) and Adam Culley (38) all in the runs, while Liam Manley was the pick of the home attack with 5-59.

Lloyd Brock then hit 56 and Harry Smith 40 to set up the tense finale, but Kempster (5-81) and Lee Selfe (3-51) combined to dismiss Tew for 211.

Town were deducted one point for their slow over rate.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts stay bottom after narrowly failing to see off Cumnor, who have also made a slow start.

Simon Howarth took 5-67 and Carl Thompson 3-38, but Nondies were still able to muster a competitive 201 all out.

Tim Rattigan made 37, while Shabaz Alam (33) and Ayaz Khan (33) both enjoyed success against their former club.

Ali Morteza (52) kept Cumnor in the hunt after tea, but Sanjay Vinjimoor (4-32) and Mark Strong (3-64) left them hanging on for a draw at 170-8.

Banbury 2nd are still seeking their first win after they were forced to grind out a draw at Bletchley Town.

In a rain-affected match, veteran spinner Paul Hill took 4-37 to help restrict Town to 168-8 from their 44 overs.

Banbury were left with 38 overs in reply, but never looked like winning despite Adam Wirth’s 31, as Wasim Fayyaz took 3-12 to leave the visitors on 100-9.
