CROPREDY lost their 100 per cent winning record, but stay top despite slipping to a seven-wicket defeat at Chearsley.

Ed Somerton (49), Mike Amos-Simpson (39) and Luke Cherry (33) helped Cropredy reach 180. Nick Babington bowled brilliantly to take 5-57.

The home side lost three early wickets before Andy Crichton (54no) and John Atkins (50no) saw them to victory without further loss.

Paul Brooks’s fine 102 not out propelled Bledlow Ridge to an easy win at Banbury 3rd, which sent them second.

Banbury’s 174 all out featured useful knocks from Charlie Hill (30) and Neil Megson (31no), but Ridge raced to victory in the 41st over.

Banbury 3rd 5, Bledlow Ridge 25 Jason Hunt hammered 143, former Cheltenham Town defender Shane Duff hit 67 and Craig Wood scored 63 as Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd amassed 318-4 dec from 48 overs at Bledlow Village.

In reply Adam Mould hit a magnificent 131, his second ton of the season, as the hosts settled for a draw on 201-5.

Witney Mills left-armer Pierre Lefort took 4-47 and his fellow seamer Craig Evans claimed 3-86, but they were powerless to stop Dinton 2nd reaching 243 all out from 44.2 overs.

Jerry Senior rolled back the years to hit 62 for Mills, but Waqar Muhammed (4-34) and Faisal Ali (4-30) were too good for the rest as the home side was dismissed for 181.
