Oxfordshire women’s captain Rhian Todd scored her maiden half-century – believed to be the first in the league by a women – but could not inspire Charlbury 3rd to victory against Britwell Salome 2nd in Division 9.
Charlbury’s 3rd team contained a number of their women’s side, and Todd made 72 in their 284-9.
However, Nigel Joyner’s unbeaten 135 led Britwell to a two-wicket win.
Carla Wood, Abi Currie and Elllie Norton, all of whom play in county sides, also figured in the match, Wood taking two wickets, while her father Steve claimed 5-64.
