Oxford United supporters have turned out in record numbers to buy early bird season tickets.
Just under 3,100 fans have already snapped up their seats for the 2012/13 campaign, enticed by frozen prices and the potential of npower League One football.
It is a 13 per cent increase from the 2,700 sold 12 months ago, with 354 sold to new season ticket holders.
U’s chairman Kelvin Thomas said: “Our supporters have again backed us in fantastic numbers during our early bird campaign.
“We recognised the fantastic support which we receive and felt it important to offer frozen prices during this early bird window.”
Season tickets will go back on sale after the U’s final match of the season, when new prices will be published.
