HAILEY’S Witney & District title celebrations could not be dampened, despite suffering a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of former champions Hanborough on the day they received the trophy, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.

A 3-0 midweek win over Witney Royals sealed the title, but goals from Mark Stitchcombe, Dan Haggie, Tom Weedon and Will Potter saw Hanborough triumph.

Dean Mays was on target for Hailey, who nonetheless celebrated their success.

Gary Nicholson hit a hat-trick as Witney Royals thrashed Ducklington 4-1.

Jamie Kennedy got their other goal, with Ben Hutter netting for Ducklington.

Witney Royals Res picked up only their second Division 1 victory of the season with a 5-2 success at FC Nomads.

Steve Reynolds, Simon Cowell, Luke Rippington and Lee Beer were among the scorers, with Josh Truby and Chris Lawrence hitting back.

Freeland A are Division 2 champions after hammering Ducklington A 6-2.

Pablo Torres (2), Joe Crocker (2), Ady Walker and Steve Carvey were on target. Shane Imms and Andrew Drury hit back for Ducklington.

Tackley took a big step towards safety with a 4-2 win over Witney Royals A in Division 3, thanks to Greg Finnemore (3) and Kyle DeFraitis.

Paul Thompson and Mikey Piper replied for Royals.

Freeland B kept their outside Division 4 promotion hopes alive after defeating Corinthians 1-0, thanks to a goal from Tom Mason.
