Coarse fishing licence-holders are being asked to back the Take A Friend Fishing promotion to encourage more youngsters into the sport.
The campaign has teamed up with Anglers Mail to offer a free one-day rod licence worth £3.75 valid from yesterday to midnight April 15.
Pick up a copy of the April 3 or 10 Anglers Mail or go online to http://www.anglersmail.co.uk/uncategorized/free-1-day-fishing-rod-licence-to-printout-use/, print out the voucher and fill it in.
Each free licence voucher is valid for one day only for all coarse fish and non-migratory trout stillwaters at all waters in England and Wales.
Environment Agency Angling participation manager Richard Wightman said: “The message is simple: If you have your own full annual licence, we would love you to use the one-day licence voucher to help introduce a friend or family member to go fishing this month.”
