A Youthful Oxford United reserves fought back from two goals down to draw 3-3 with a strong Luton reserves in the Football Combination at Didcot Town on Wednesday night.

Matt Fletcher opened the scoring in the 18th minute, expertly controlling Tyrone Marsh’s cross before smashing in a finish from ten yards.

But the lead lasted just three minutes, when Omar Bogle headed Charlie Henry’s centre past Max Crocombe.

Luton’s experience then shone through as they went on to dominate up to half-time.

They took the lead when Henry’s attempted cross drifted in on 29 minutes, and a powerful rising drive from Godfrey Poku made it 3-1 just before the break.

The U’s improved in the second half and pulled a goal back through David Lynn, before Callum O’Dowda’s cross found its way past Luton keeper Lewis Kidd three minutes from time.
