A thrilling comeback from Didcot Casuals proved in vain as they lost their Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup semi-final on penalties.
Wayne Jacks’ side looked dead and buried as they fell 4-0 down to South Reading by half-time.
But last season’s beaten finalists remarkably hit back with a brace from Fletcher Hoey and strikes from Lawrence Hoey and JR Willis to level the tie at 4-4 and ensure extra time.
Neither side could conjure a winner in the following 30 minutes and the drama continued in the shoot-out, which Casuals lost 7-6.
